Man on a video call with another man

At Walsh, we believe quality assurance is more than just software—it’s a partnership. Our annual review process gives clients a clear, data-driven snapshot of how their cleaning and inspection programs are performing, where they’re excelling, and exactly where there’s room to improve.

Turning Data Into Action

During each annual review, we walk through daily inspection data for the past 12 months, analyze trends, and identify opportunities to strengthen performance. Some of our recent reviews concluded:

  • Increased inspection volume – Many clients see inspection counts increase year over year after implementing Walsh systems; doubling your inspection count is not unusual.
  • Focused Room goals – We review which rooms were inspected and which were not over the past year. We then use that information to set targets such as inspecting 100% of patient rooms and all ORs within the next 6 months.
  • Inspected Staff goals – We also review which Staff were inspected and which were not. This gives us the opportunity to ensure that staff lists are up to date, and we use this information to set targets such as inspecting 100% of all housekeepers within 6 months.
  • Inspector Performance goals – We review which Inspectors (typically Supervisors) are inspecting and how much. We also look carefully at the data and analyze the Quality Score of their inspections; are they doing a thorough inspection, or are they pencil-whipping? We discuss the quality of the inspections themselves: time taken to inspect a room, photos taken, questions asked, etc. The goal is to produce realistic, thorough inspections, supported by detailed notes and photos. We then identify which inspectors are doing a great job and who needs to up their game. We use the data to set goals for each inspector on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, depending on the type of inspection.

Addressing Opportunities

A credible QA program doesn’t just celebrate successes—it actively targets weaknesses. Our reviews often uncover areas needing attention, such as:

  • Vents and fans (high-visibility items for patients, families, and regulatory surveys)
  • Floors and carpets
  • Overbed tables
  • Toilets and surrounds

Using our platform’s detailed reporting, we help clients pinpoint specific areas, locations, or inspection types that would benefit from targeted re-inspections and training.

Why These Reviews Matter

For Walsh clients, these annual reviews aren’t just “check-the-box” meetings. They:

  • Provide objective, actionable data for training and operational improvement.
  • Help leadership set clear, measurable goals for inspections and compliance.
  • Ensure staff performance is monitored, supported, and recognized.
  • Highlight opportunities to integrate additional Walsh modules for even greater efficiency.

From Insights to Implementation

We close each review with a clear action plan—whether it’s updating inspection coverage, focusing on underperforming areas, or integrating additional inspection methods into the Walsh system. Follow-up meetings ensure progress is monitored and momentum stays high.

At Walsh, we don’t just give you tools—we work with your team to ensure that Walsh QA Inspector is used to the fullest potential. Whether it’s uncovering trends in ATP testing, identifying areas that need improvement, or making inspections more efficient, our annual reviews are designed to keep your facility safe, compliant, and inspection-ready every day of the year.
